Authorities continue to investigate a serious crash that left one person trapped inside a vehicle and another injured.
Rescue crews from Valley Lee responded to the 20200 block of Piney Point Road in Callaway in front of Abell’s Tavern around 5:45 p.m. on March 2.
Upon arrival it was discovered two vehicles were involved to include a Blue Volkswagen Tiguan and a Blue Chevy S10 pickup truck. One patient was lying in the grass and another patient was trapped inside a vehicle. Rescue crews worked to extricate the trapped victim. Piney Point Road was completely shut down for during the accident investigation.
Two patients were transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No word on the cause of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate.
