On Sept. 9, deputy Kevin Meyer observed a vehicle pulling in and out of driveways along the Great Mills Road area.

The vehicle would also speed up and slow down with no apparent reason. Once the vehicle stopped in the parking lot of a business in the Great Mills area, Deputy Meyer approached the operator identified as Michael Brandon Carter, 21 of Leonardtown,ย  to conduct an investigation into Carterโ€™s actions.

During the investigation Carter supplied Deputy Meyer with a false name in an attempt to hide his identity. After Carterโ€™s true identity was established, it was revealed that his driverโ€™s license is revoked.

Deputy Meyer placed Carter under arrest.

Further search of Carterโ€™s vehicle revealed a small amount of cocaine along with narcotics paraphernalia.

Further criminal charges are pending.
