On November 22, 2010 Sheriff Timothy K. Cameron honored seven stellar Greenview Knolls elementary students, grades three through five, with commendations for their positive attitudes, helpfulness to others, good citizenship and academic achievement. Each student honored was named a St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Junior Deputy.
The students’ Sheriff’s Citations read: “In recognition for your positive attitude, hard work in the classroom and helping others, you have been selected as a Junior Deputy. Sheriff Cameron salutes you and your effort. Keep up the good work!”

“This year’s Adopt-a-School partnerships have been successful in building high-quality relationships between our deputies, school staff and young people. Many of the children now recognize deputies as people they know from positive situations. These cooperative and creative efforts have facilitated many special moments and events such as today.
