The Charles County Sheriff’s Office, District III Station is relocating to a different facility. Currently, District III is housed at 2160 Old Washington Road in Waldorf. Staff will move to their new location at 3670 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, by Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Sheriff Rex Coffey said the move was necessary because building conditions at the current facility are poor and continue to deteriorate. In addition, the new facility provides much needed space as the agency continues to grow and expand.
A well coordinated plan was developed to ensure a smooth transition and to prevent any interruption in service. Citizens needing police assistance may continue utilizing the current address on Old Washington Road until the move to the new facility is complete next week. The phone number, (301) 932-7777, will remain the same at the new location.
