Annmarie Garden aims to combine art and nature through its series of programs from concerts and art classes to scupltures and festivals in the public garden.
Over the weekend art was instilled (albeit temporarily) on the garden itself as its paths came alive with chalky color during the Sidewalk Chalkathon Art Contest.
Adults and children were invited to participate in the unusual celebration of a less high-brow form of literal “street” art. Chalkers were provided with materials and assigned a spot on the garden’s path to decorate with their best artistic renderings. The Garden awarded prizes in various age groups and categories.
