UPDATE 1:33 pm 6/28/2017- Per the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, the area affected by the accident has been reopened.
UPDATE 12:26 p.m.- Northbound Three Notch Road is closed. MEDEVAC has been requested.
Mechanicsville, MD 12:15 p.m.- A serious motor vehicle accident has been reported on Three Notch Road in the area of Friendship School Road. It is reported that this is a single vehicle overturned into a pole.
Use caution, expect delays, and watch for the emergency vehicles.
