At 11:18 p.m. Aug. 22, Lindsay Richelle Poole, 18, of and Halay Nicole Poole, 19, both of Avenue, were arrested for possession of marijuana.
Trooper C. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a black Nissan Maxima for failing to drive right of center. During the course of the traffic stop a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.
Lindsey Poole was found to be in possession of marijuana cigar, while Nicole Poole was found to be in possession of marijuana cigar and a bag of marijuana.
They were both transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.
