After blowing a three-run lead in the bottom of the 9th, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored six times in the top of the 10th inning to defeat the Lancaster Barnstormers by the final score of 12-6. The Crabs scored six runs in two different innings and the victory earns them a series split on the road.

Trailing 3-0 in the top of the 8th inning, Southern Maryland erupted for six runs against the Lancaster bullpen. The Blue Crabs scored one run via an error and two on sacrifice flies including a game-tying sacrifice fly by Angel Chavez. Luke Murtonโ€™s RBI single gave the Crabs their first lead of the game at 4-3 and scored the final run of the inning on C.J. Zieglerโ€™s sacrifice fly.

The Barnstormers rallied against Jim Ed Warden in the 9th inning with three runs to send the game to extra innings. With two outs in the inning, Cole Garner hit a game-tying, three-run home run to dramatically tie the game at 6-6. The blown save is just the second of the season for Warden.

Southern Maryland quickly responded with six runs in the top of the 10th inning. Ziegler blasted a three-run home run off Jason Richardson, his 7th of the year, to regain the lead. The Blue Crabs restarted a rally later in the frame as Jermaine Mitchell delivered a two-run single and Angel Chavez capped off the six-run inning with an RBI single.

The Blue Crabs continue their road trip with a four-game series tomorrow night in York against the Revolution at 7:05.
