The Lancaster Barnstormers scored six times in the opening half inning and cruised to their tenth straight victory as they defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 9-4 Sunday afternoon at Regency Furniture Stadium.

All six runs in the top of the 1st for the Barnstormers came with two outs. Brett Carroll hit a two-run home run, his second of the series, for the first runs of the inning. Gabe Jacobo restarted the rally with a double and he scored on Olmo Rosarioโ€™s RBI single. Two batters later, Juan Apodaca capped off the six-run frame with a three-run home run, his first of two on the day.

Cory Wade (4-6) went the distance for Lancaster allowing four runs on 11 hits while Jake Brown (6-3) was touched up for eight runs in three innings.

Apodaca added his second home run of the afternoon in the 3rd inning with a two-run shot to build the Barnstormers lead to 8-1. He finished the game 2-for-3 with five runs batted in.

Rosario added the fourth and final home run of the game in the top of the 5th off Jake Hale, his first of the year.
