Travis Scott ended a long night in Texas with a walk-off, solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Sugar Land Skeeters a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

With one out in the bottom of the 12th, Travis Scott hit his fourth home run of the season off Charlie Manning to deliver the win for the Skeeters. It was Scottโ€™s only hit in the game in five at bats.

Extra innings were required thanks to a run in the 9th inning for Southern Maryland to knot the game up at 2-2. Amadeo Zazueta led off with a single after an eight pitch at bat and C.J. Ziegler delivered an RBI single later in the frame to tie the game.

Luke Murtonโ€™s solo home run in the top of the 2nd inning gave the Blue Crabs a 1-0 early lead. The home run was the first for Murton in a Southern Maryland uniform.

A defensive lapse helped Sugar Land tie the game in the 4th. Nick Stavinoha reached on an error by Amadeo Zazueta that allowed Ryan Langerhans to score to tie the game at 1-1. The Skeeters got out in front in the 5th courtesy of an RBI single by Dominic Ramos that plated Taylor Harbin.

Both starters pitched well but did not factor in the decision. Matt Wright was in line to win his fourth consecutive start for Sugar Land allowing just one run on four hits over 7.0 innings before the bullpen couldnโ€™t hold the lead. Gaby Hernandez was off the hook after his longest outing of the year going 7.1 innings with just one unearned run allowed.

The Blue Crabs continue their six-game series in Sugar Land against the Skeeters tomorrow night at 8:05 ET. The Blue Crabs return home Tuesday, June 17 to face the Somerset Patriots for four games. Purchase tickets for the game by visiting www.somdbluecrabs.com or calling 301-638-9788.
