The Robert D. Stethem Educational Center Chapter of SkillsUSA hosted its first annual “Not-Just-A-Craft Fair” to benefit the students participating in the upcoming SkillsUSA Maryland Leadership and Skills Conference and raisedย $498,ย over half of their fundraising goal. Twenty tables with local delights such as custom jewelry, cosmetics, and homemade bags lined the school auditorium.ย 

SkillsUSA thanks the companies represented: Tracey McInerney of Spin It Again (record bowls); Charlotte Hardesty and Brenda Oliver of Dress Your Kitchen; Heather Harbold of Leiaโ€™s Treats (home-made, all natural dog treats); Cliff Posey of Cliff Posey Photography, Ruth Anderson-Cole of Salon Jewelry; Beth Schumaker-Maguire of AVON; Paula Tidwell Fleming of Scentsy: Wanda Lewis of Mary Kay; Stephanie Rae Distler and Erica Knise of Lilโ€™ Nick (Hair Accessories and Toys); Lucy Wedding of Lucyโ€™s Crafts & Arrangements: Cathy Beavers of Cathyโ€™s Creations (wind chimes and painted stepping stones); Samantha Cozzens of Perfectly Posh (pampering products);ย ย Barbara Linsmeier of Wine Shop at Home; Becky Stephenson of Pampered Chef; and Jessica Ryan of Thirty-One.

Stethem students will participate in the SkillsUSA Maryland Leadership and Skills Conference on ย Saturday, April 20th with over 992 Maryland Career and Technology Education students throughout the state.
