Conducted โ€œOperation Most Wantedโ€.ย  The goal of the operation was to reduce crime and arrest criminal offenders thus enhancing the quality of life in St. Maryโ€™s County by identifying and arresting individuals who engage in illegal activity.

ย 

The operation began at 4:00 pm and concluded at midnight.ย  Over forty (40) law enforcement officers attempted to serve one hundred and six (106) open warrants.ย  The types of warrants included: felony warrants, misdemeanor warrants, domestic violence warrants, child support warrants and parole re-take warrants.ย  In addition, law enforcement officers were teamed with adult and juvenile probation officers who conducted nine (9) parole and probation Violence Prevention Initiative (VPI) checks, as well as, sixty (60) juvenile probation home visits. ย ย The Violence Prevention Initiative targets Marylandโ€™s most violent criminal offenders.ย  For more information on the Violence Prevention Initiative visit the Governorโ€™s Office of Crime Control and Prevention at
