The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a snow advisory for all of Southern Maryland, effective until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
NWS says a low pressure system is spreading snow across Virginia and will hit Southern Maryland by 2 p.m.
A mix of snow and rain is expected, which will eventually change to all snow, NWS reports. One to two inches of accumulation is expected.
Other weather agencies predict Southern Maryland will see mostly rain from the system moving in, with the greatest accumulations near the Maryland-Pennsylvania border.
Cancellations
– All after-school activities sponsored by the St. Mary’s, Charles, Calvert and Anne Arundel county public school systems is cancelled for Feb. 20.
