La Plata, MD — You might run into some traffic delays this Saturday. The Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack is teaming up with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland Transportation Authority Police to conduct a sobriety checkpoint.The checkpoint will be somewhere in Charles County on Saturday, September 21.

As always, motorists are encouraged to appoint a designated driver or use public or other alternative transportation if they plan to consume alcohol.

The Maryland State Police stresses there is zero-tolerance for driving while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs.
