Geary Bishย 

Lexington Park, MD— On Feb.7, St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Corcoran responded to the 48000 block of Compass Circle in Lexington Park, for the report of an assault.

The victim alleged the suspect, Geary Allen Bish, 37 of Lexington Park, kicked the victim several times, struck the victim with a bar stool, and slapped the victim. “I (Corcoran) observed bruising and scratches on her (victim) face. The victim stated that Bish did not hold her prisoner, but she could not explain why she waited to call the police,” according to charging documents.

Corcoran made contact with Bish, who had bruises and cuts on his face and head. Bish stated that she (th victim) had in fact assaulted him several times over the last two days by hitting and scratching him. “The defendant also could not explain why he never called the police,” according to charging documents.

Contact was made with the parties’ five-year-old son, the only witness, and the it was determined Bish was the primary aggressor. Bish was arrested and transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where he was charged with second-degree assault.

Bish has a court date scheduled for April 7 at the St. Maryโ€™s County District Court. Bish faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and or a maximum fine of $2,500.
