Feb. 8, 12:45 p.m.: ALL afternoon and evening programs will operate as scheduled at the Gymnastic Center, Carver, Margaret Brent and the Leonard Hall Recreation Centers.

Due to the winter storm, the Board of County Commissioners Budget Work Session may not be aired live on Channel 95 today at 1:30 p.m. The session will be taped and will be broadcast at a later date. The session will be held in the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Chesapeake Building at 1:30 p.m. in an open meeting.

Feb. 8, 9:30 a.m.: The “Get Connected to Health” Program held at St. Mary’s Hospital is cancelled today.

Feb 8, 6:50 a.m.: VanGO Service Canceled for Feb. 8
Due to poor road conditions and continued low temperatures, VanGO will not operate any transit services on Monday, February 8.

Feb 8, 6:30 a.m.:  St. Mary’s County St. Government will be open on Feb. 8 with a Liberal Leave policy in effect for all County Government Employees

  • St. Mary’s Transit System (STS) will begin service tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
  • County Landfill and Convenience Centers will be closed on February 8, 2010
  • All Public Libraries will be closed on February 8, 2010
  • Senior Centers and the Medical Adult Day Care will all be closed tomorrow.
  • There will be no Meals on Wheels delivered tomorrow.
  • The Small Business Roundtable meeting which was scheduled for 8:30 am at Lenny’s has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
