More than 825 soccer players on 135 teams competed in the 2010 Kohl’s American Cup Soccer Tournament Saturday, Nov. 20. The games were held at Chancellor’s Run Park and welcomed players from St. Mary’s, Calvert and Charles Counties.
The partnership between St. Mary’s Youth Soccer and Kohl’s provided the fun and safe full-day tournament with games from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. An activities area and prizes were provided by the local Kohl’s store, with Kohl’s Cares Volunteers helping at the program. Consessions were available from both Bear Creek BBQ and St. Mary’s Parks and Recreation.
The tournament raises funds to keep registration fees affordable for all children who participate in St. Mary’s Youth Soccer.
