On Feb. 12, at 2:09 a.m., William Oliver Briscoe, Jr., 20 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for possession of marijuana.
Briscoe was operating a silver Toyota Camry on Chancellor’s Run Road in Great Mills when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Briscoe and an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. While speaking with Briscoe, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from his breath. Briscoe was also found to be in possession of a small baggie of marijuana.
Briscoe was placed under arrest and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing for the DUI. Briscoe was then transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review.
