On Oct. 26, SDFC Michael D. Peacher was investigating a complaint of speeding in Leonardtown. While conducting speed enforcement on Point Lookout Road, he observed a 1985 Pontiac traveling southbound at 55 in a posted 40 mph zone.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found that the driver, Michael Wayne Henson, 45 of Lexington Park, had an open child support bench warrant for his arrest.
SDFC Peacher placed Henson under arrest, and transported him to the St Mary’s County Detention Center where he is being held on a $3900 bond.
