Toni Chapman, principal at St. Leonard Elementary, reports that the school year has begun with some wonderful new staff: Kim Wayson, school health nurse; Janice Parker, head night custodian; Doug Fraley, instrumental music; and Brandon White, psychologist intern.
Chapman also reports that second-graders are doing a great job reviewing vowels and blends while getting started in their reading anthologies. Third- fourth and fifth-graders are letting teachers see what they already know by completing their diagnostic tests.
