The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office announced these recent arrests Saturday, Dec. 28.
Vice Narcotics detectives received information regarding an individual attempting to sell body armor on “Craigslist”. Detectives began an investigation and developed a possible suspect. The suspect, Sir Patrick Evans, 27 of California, was confirmed to be a felon and prohibited from possessing a bullet resistant vest. An undercover detective made contact with the suspect, which led to the purchase and recovery of the vest. Detectives are still working to find its point of origin. Evans was arrested and charged with possession of body armor after being convicted of a drug trafficking crime and possession of body armor without a permit. Additional charges are pending a review with the State’s Attorney’s Office.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Division, with the assistance of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, K-9 deputies, Support Team deputies and members of the Special Operations Division, conducted several operations related to the “Maximum Deployment Operation”.
A search and seizure warrant was executed on the home of Michael Hawthorne Woodland, 69 of Lexington Park, which led to the recovery of numerous “Oxycodone” pills. Woodland was arrested and additional charges are pending.
Detectives began an investigation into the use and sale of “oxycodone” by Suspect Jerry Allen Stone Sr., 44 of Hollywood. A search warrant was obtained for his residence as well as his person. Stone was observed in what appeared to be a drug transaction and deputies stopped the vehicle he was traveling in to execute the search warrant on his person. Stone ingested the “oxycodone” as officers approached the vehicle. He was taken into custody and charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license”. During the time of the vehicle stop detectives were assisted by the Emergency Services Team in executing the warrant on his home. Oxycodone and related drug paraphernalia were recovered and he was charged accordingly. Also in the vehicle was Kyle Matthew Hudson, 22 of Hollywood and Jessica Louise Johnson, 23 of Hollywood. Both of those suspects were charged with possession of cocaine and related paraphernalia.
