The frigid temperatures are having only a limited impact on operations across the county this morning.

  • All St. Maryโ€™s County Public Schools will operate on a two hour delay for students and staff including P.M. Pre-Kindergarten and P.M. Head Start students. However, there will be no school for A.M. Pre-Kindergarten and A.M. Head Start students. Code 1 for employees.
  • All Recreation and Parks Before and After Care programs will operate on a two hour delay.
  • St. Maryโ€™s County Government offices and programs will have an on time opening.
  • The Board of County Commissioners meeting will take place on time at 9 a.m.
  • St. Maryโ€™s County Transit System buses will run on time.

Warming Centers Open to the Public

With temperatures expected to decline throughout the day and temperatures tomorrow predicted to be 19 degrees (with wind chill values as low as -10 degrees), the following locations are being made available as Warming Centers.

The centers will be open during regular hours for residents who need to take refuge in a warm place at one of the following locations:
