ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. –ย The Sheriff’s Office released reports of two arrests that took place earlier this week on Nov. 6 and 7. The full police reports can be found below.ย

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – On Nov. 7, Cpl. Carberry responded to the 22000 block of Lawrence Avenue in reference to a disturbance.ย Upon arrival the victim was contacted and was observed to have sustained a laceration to their right arm.ย Investigation revealed the victim had been stabbed by a known suspect; Shuree Sinese Weems, age 36, of Leonardtown. Weems was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest. The victimโs injury was not incapacitating.ย

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On Nov. 6, Deputy First Class Steinbach, stopped a vehicle operated by Anglo Bartholomew Barnes, age 52, of Mechanicsville. A search of the vehicle revealed over 10 grams of marijuana and suspected cocaine.ย Barnes was arrested and charged with CDS Possession of Marijuana Greater than 10 Grams, and Possession of CDS/ Not Marijuana.ย
