On Aug. 28, St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations detectives obtained arrest warrants for Valeriy V. Kouznetsov, 23, and David A. Concepcion, 33, both of Rockville, for Theft over $500, First Degree Assault, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Armed Robbery, for the armed robbery of the Mechanicsville Bank of America, which occurred on Aug. 17.
The warrants were a result of ongoing investigations by St. Mary’s County BCI and Montgomery County Police, which determined the two men had used a car in the Mechanicsville robbery from a carjacking in Montgomery County earlier the same day.
On Aug. 27 the two men attempted another bank robbery in Montgomery County using a vehicle from an Aug. 25 carjacking, but were unsuccessful and were apprehended by police a short time later.
BCI detectives recovered the vehicle used in the Mechanicsville robbery in P.G. County.
The two suspects are currently incarcerated in Montgomery County.
