State Fire Marshal investigates Waldorf barn fire

WALDORF, Md. – The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to a barn fire located on Shapersville Road of Waldorf on December 10. 

Shortly before 4:00 p.m. neighbors in the area noticed smoke coming from the location of the barn, owned by Leon Thorton. Fifteen firefighters controlled the blaze in five minutes. Upon investigation, debris inside of the barn was found to be on fire. The loss of the structure and contents is estimated to be $500.
