The St. Mary’s County Department of Human Services is offering the nationally recognized program “Staying Connected with Your Teen.” SCT is designed to give parents the skills needed to help teens successfully make the transition into adulthood by reducing the risk factors and strengthening protective factors.
The program is designed for parents, significant others, and care givers of children between the ages of 12 and 17. Parents and caregivers are asked to please not bring children.
SCT will be offered on five Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, April 1 and ending April 29. This parent education program will be held at the Potomac Building, Governmental Center Campus in Meeting Room 14 located at 23115 Leonard Hall Drive in Leonardtown.
Registration is required and all program materials are provided through a grant from the State of Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration.
