Leonardtown, MD โ€“ In a continuing effort to provide support to parents in the community, the St. Maryโ€™s County Department of Aging and Human Services is pleased to offer the Staying Connected with you Teen Programยฎ on five Thursdays in October.

The program, one of many offered by Families that Careยฎ is designed to show parents how to improve their family management practices and strengthen the bonds between them and their children. The anticipated result is substance abuse prevention, violence prevention and overall positive character development.

The program will be held October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at the College of Southern Marylandโ€™s Leonardtown Campus, 22950 Hollywood Road, Building C, Room 113. Each session, led by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will run from 6 โ€“ 8 P.M. Parents are required to attend all five sessions to receive course credit. A light dinner fare will be provided for those who attend.
