St. Leonard, MD – A single-vehicle crash late Wednesday evening, Aug. 29 resulted in serious injuries to two motorists, Calvert County fire officials reported.

According to the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department (Company 7) public information officer (PIO), at approximately 10:06 p.m. a company ambulance driven by a driver in training โ€œcame across a vehicle into a tree on Bond Street.โ€

Company 7 crews extricated two people trapped in the vehicle. The PIO stated the two injured motorists were transported to a regional trauma center. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

A police report on the crash is pending.
