The Charles County Sheriff’s Office has recovered 53 of the 145 bronze vases stolen from Trinity Memorial Gardens in September 2007.
The thefts occurred on Sept. 14, Sept. 21, and Sept. 24. The suspect(s) entered the graveyard, located on Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf, and stole the vases which had been attached as headstones.
The recovered vases were found at an abandoned property in the 10400 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington. The property owner discovered the vases and reported them to the police.
