POMFRET, Md. – On Sunday, March 18 at 3:30 a.m., units from the Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 4900 block of Preston Lane, Pomfret for the report of a vehicle fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a burning 2009 Dodge Ram and were able to have it put out in 10 minutes. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire with an estimated $10,000 worth of damage.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen the previous day from Prince George’s County. An unknown suspect(s) set the vehicle on fire from the inside and fled the scene.
