On July 27, Charles County Sheriff’s officers charged a 17- year-old Waldorf male and 14-year-old Waldorf male in connection with a citizen robbery that occurred on July 23 in the 5000 block of Blue Jay Court in Waldorf.
The victims, a 14 year old and a 9 year old, were playing with their BB guns in their front yard when the suspects approached, grabbed the BB guns and fled on bicycles. The victims called police and an investigation was initiated.
Detectives later identified the suspects and obtained arrest warrants charging them with strong-armed robbery and theft under $500. The 17-year-old male was at the Charles County Detention Center on an unrelated charge and the 14-year-old male was remanded to the Department of Juvenile Justice. Officer A. Riffle investigated.
