Scores of bright students participated in the 48th annual St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair, held Friday and Saturday at Great Mills High School.
The fair was open to students in public and private schools from grades 6-12.
Dozens of winners were selected in several grade and subject categories.
As many as 44 students will be heading off to compete at the upcoming 60th annual Prince George’s Regional Science Fair, which is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
Twenty-four winners of high school age from the St. Mary’s contest can attended the PG Science Fair, and 20 slots for middle school students are available.
Organizing officials in St. Mary’s County have not yet completed the list of which students will be going.
