Charlotte Hall, MD – A 24-year-old Mechanicsville man has died after a motorcycle accident in Charlotte Hall and police say an attempt to perform stunts with the bike is to blame.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night in the 37000 block of Golden Beach Road.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to single-vehicle accident report and found Samuel Brent Talton at the scene with incapacitating injuries.
Preliminary investigation by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit determined a 2005 Suzuki GSX 1300R motorcycle operated by Talton, was attempting to perform stunts when the operator lost control of the motorcycle and struck a concrete pole.
Talton succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
