On April 25 at 9:11 p.m., officers responded to Fairgrounds Road in La Plata for an attempted home invasion.
The homeowners reported they heard a knock at their door and when they answered, an unknown male wearing a red bandana was standing on their porch with a shotgun.
The homeowner shut the door but the suspect attempted to kick it in. The suspect fled and the victim called police. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late twenties, 5’11”, with a slender build, light brown hair, and blue eyes.
