PRINCE FREDERICK, Md – On Feb. 24 at 10:52 a.m., a passer-by discovered and reported a house fire in the area of the 100 block of Radio Road in Prince Frederick. Forty firefighters led by the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call and arrived on the scene of an abandoned, single story house fire. Responding crews had the fire controlled in 15 minutes.
Further investigation revealed that the fire was the result of an unknown suspect(s) igniting combustible materials within the abandoned structure. The overall damage caused by the fire is estimated to be $2,500.
