Hollywood, MD— On June 7, Maryland State Police (MSP) Trooper Mulhearn was on patrol when he responded to a traffic complaint about a white Dodge pickup truck all over the roadway.ย

A citizen advised, “the operator was nodding off at the traffic light on Three Notch Road and Charles Street,” according to charging documents.ย

The vehicle was observed to be all over the roadway crossing the white dotted line several times. Trooper Davis of the MSP stopped the vehicle.ย

Davis made contact with the driver of the vehicle who identified himself as Brandon S. Stinnett, 24 of La Plata.ย

Stinnett performedย poorlyย on all standard sobriety tests that were conducted. As a result, Stinnett was arrested, and a search incident recovered several spoons containing suspected heroin residue and three hypodermic needles.ย

Stinnett was transported to the St. Mary’s Detention Center,ย where he was charged with CDS possessionย not marijuana and CDS possession of paraphernalia.ย

Stinnett has a scheduled hearing set for July 28 in District Court. Stinnett faces a maximum jail sentence of four years and/or a maximum fine of $25,500.ย
