California, MD— On Nov. 2, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Bob Evans in California, for the report of a subject who had just been robbed.
A witness alleged, Corey Michael Arias, age 23, of Mechanicsville, told the witness he had been robbed and was going to shoot the subject who robbed him with a shotgun located in his vehicle.
According to court documents “Arias, who advised he had just been robbed, further stated he was going to shoot the subject who robbed him with a shotgun he had in his vehicle.”
A shotgun was recovered during a search of his vehicle. Arias was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
“Located in close proximity of the shotgun was a wooden box containing several small baggies of a green leafy substance that I know from my training and experience to be marijuana”, according to court documents.
Arias was charged with Transporting a Firearm. A trial date has not yet been set for this case. Arias face a maximum of twenty years in jail.
