At 12:10 am on September 11, TFC Linger stopped a vehicle on Route 242 at Sugar Hole Road, Clements, when the driver was observed not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was identified as Ricky Allen Mattingly, 36, of Lexington Park. A check through MVA indicated Mr. Mattingly’s driving privilege was suspended. He was placed under arrest.
A search incident to arrest revealed a folded dollar bill containing cocaine in his pants pocket. A smoking device, containing cocaine, was located under the driver’s seat.
Mattingly was charged with driving while suspended, possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.
