Dunkirk, MD – One of Calvert County’s newest developments—The Shoppes at Apple Greene in Dunkirk—continues to take shape. On Thursday, Nov. 16 Drew Gorman, senior vice president for Echo Realty, the development company that owns the parcel just off northbound Route 4 where the shopping center is being built, confirmed that the iconic Mexican fast food eatery, Taco Bell, will have a location within the development.
As with all Taco Bell’s, the Dunkirk location will be in a stand-alone building within the shopping center.
Gorman told TheBayNet.com that Echo Realty is in the process of finalizing “a bunch of leases” for The Shoppes at Apple Greene, adding that “72 percent of the center is occupied in terms of square footage.”
The Shoppes at Apple Greene will include a Harris Teeter grocery and a Marshalls department store. The Harris Teeter operation will also include a gas station.
The Dunkirk location will be Calvert County’s third Taco Bell, which currently has locations in Solomons and Prince Frederick. Based in Irvine, CA, Taco Bell was founded in 1962. The eatery serves “Tex-Mex” cuisine and is noted for its tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos.
