The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that damaged a houseboat at Tall Timbers Marina. The fire of undetermined origin was reported at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday by a tenant of the houseboat owned by Frederick Meatyard.
The 35-foot houseboat sustained $10,000 damage. It took five firefighters from the Second District VFD&RS ten minutes to bring the fire under control.
According to Deputy Fire Marshal Don Brenneman, “This fire is currently under investigation. Anyone having any additional information regarding the fire is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal Southern Region at 443-550-6820.”
