Oakville Elementary School is the recipient of a $3,000 grant from the Target Corporation to provide early reading intervention for Oakvilleโ€™s kindergarten, first, and second grade students.

ย

โ€œWe appreciate Targetโ€™s support of public education,โ€ said Debra Bowling, Oakville Elementary School principal. โ€œWith the help of the grant, we are able to train teachers and purchase materials to implement a research-based reading intervention for our students, grades K โ€“ 2.ย  It is our belief that early intervention is key to building strong independent readers. Targetโ€™s commitment to education enables schools like ours to provide additional interventions for our young students.ย  It is businesses like Target that make our community a great place to live and work.โ€
