On Sunday, Sept. 28, this yearโ€™s Taste of St. Maryโ€™s came off without a hitch in Leonardtown. According to Chamber President, Bill Scarafia, โ€œWe opened to bright sunshine and the food was great.โ€

After last yearโ€™s almost rainout and week long deluge, the St. Maryโ€™s Chamber of Commerce debated about holding this yearโ€™s Taste of St. Maryโ€™s Event. After deliberations which ranged from when to where, the Chamber agreed to hold the event again.

Scarafia indicated that the event had two and half times more ticket sales than last year and that all in attendance were treated to wonderful food. โ€œWe had 18 restaurants as compared to only 10 participating last year,โ€ said Scarafia. โ€œThe food was phenomenal. It was a greatย  event all the way around.โ€

Scarafia indicated that the Chamber is already talking with Leonardtown officials about next yearโ€™s event. โ€œWe havenโ€™t finalized anything yet, but we will have something decided soon,โ€ said Scarafia.
