LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Community members won’t have to miss out on this Sunday’s Redskins game while they sample local fares at Taste of St. Mary’s.
The St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce is hosting “A Taste of St. Mary’s” on the square downtown on Sept. 18 starting at noon.
This popular annual event features the chance to sample specialties from local restaurants and caterers. This year’s vendors include:

- Bear Creek BBQ
- Bruster’s Real Ice Cream
- Cameron’s Smoothie Shack
- Cocoa’s Authentic Caribbean Jerk
- Days Off Deli & Grill
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- I’se Da Bye Fully Stuffed Kitchen & Catering
- Kona Ice
- Linda’s Café/Earth 2 Table Catering Co.
- McKay’s Food Stores
- Morris Point Restaurant
- N&N Oriental Market
- Nicolletti’s Pizza
- Port of Leonardtown Winery
- Smokey Joe’s Restaurant

Gift certificates from participating vendors will be raffled throughout the day, said event organizers.
Other activities at the event include free entertainment, kids’ activities, and a classic car show. A television will be on site so event attendees can sample food and enjoy the Redskins’ game.
