On Nov. 23 at 6:33 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers observed a traffic violation at Billingsley Road near Piney Church Road in Waldorf.
A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the car, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. Officers recovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the car and arrested the 17-year-old driver.
He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released to the custody of his parents.
