At 8:40 p.m. on November 9, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Sears located at 11170 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of a theft.
Investigation revealed the suspect was observed by loss prevention removing price tags from clothing, concealing them and exiting the store. Loss prevention detained the 16-year-old Waldorf girl until officers’ arrival.
The girl was arrested and charged with theft valued at less than $100. She was released to the custody of a parent.
