On July 18, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Cpl. Quade was off duty traveling west bound on Turkey Hill Road at Crescent Lane when he stopped Michael Ross Pierce, 18 of La Plata, for a traffic violation.
At that time PFC R. Christian, of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene with her K-9. A canine scan was conducted with a positive alert. A search revealed a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. Pierce was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. TFC S. Murphy arrived on the scene to assist Cpl. Quade.
