At 5:33 p.m. Jan. 26, a 16-year-old Bryans Road girl was brought by a family member to the Indian Head District Station located at 4401 Indian Head Highway because the girl was making threats of arson toward another family member.
When Officer S. Hawkins responded to the parking lot of the District Station to speak with the girl, she struck him.
After a brief struggle, Officer Hawkins charged her with assaulting a police officer and two counts of making threats of arson.
She was released back to her guardian.
