White Plains, MD – On Dec. 31 at 9:43 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 4400 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of an armed robbery.

Upon their arrival, officers learned that a masked male entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled.

Charles County Sheriff’s Office K-9 teams set up a track which led to a church next to the business. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation. While conducting interviews with individuals who were in the church at the time, the suspect was identified.

A search was conducted and items related to the robbery were located. The suspect, a 17 year old male, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and first and second-degree assault.
