Another fatal accident has been reported on Indian Head Highway in Charles County. On July 2 at 6:38 p.m., Sgt. R. Kiesel of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office observed a Volvo that crashed near the area of Indian Head Highway and the Prince George’s County line. Sgt. Kiesel quickly accessed the driver, who was trapped inside the car, and notified emergency medical personnel. The driver, Bria Monyae Warren, 19, of Indian Head, was extricated from the vehicle and flown to a hospital where she died on July 3 as a result of her injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed Warren was traveling south on Indian Head Highway when she lost control of her car and struck a brick “Welcome” sign before her vehicle came to a stop. PFC W. Saunders of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
