On May 30, 2015, Corporal Moritz responded to a residence on Suwanne Place in Lexington Park for a disturbance.
The victim alleged suspect Tyriel Lavar Gantt, age 18, of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the face with his hand.
He then pushed the victim to the floor by the neck causing the victim to hit the bathtub.
Corporal Moritz observed injuries on the victim consistent with the allegations.
Gantt was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault
On June 1, 2015, Deputy Schultz arrested the same suspect again at the same residence after a reported assault.
The victim alleged Gantt walked up and slapped the victim in the face, twice.
Gantt then walked into the house and broke one of the window panes in the door with his fist.
Gantt was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
